Calico is all about cozy quilts, cuddly kittens and colorful buttons. Anyone who gets involved in this heartwarming setting will quickly find themselves in a fascinating puzzle game that draws its appeal from the many variations and different tasks of its simple basic mechanics.

The aim is to sew a warm and soft quilt for cold days from hexagonal fabric patches. You have to pay attention to both the colour and the pattern of each piece, which you have to use to create certain combinations for which bonus points are awarded at the end.

For a group of at least three patches of the same color, you get a button. The specified, individual quests on the quilt board itself give you plenty of victory points, and if you fulfill the special preferences of one of the ten little cats, you lure them onto your blanket and give yourself a good advantage at the end of the game.

The tasks and cat preferences vary from game to game and you can’t always complete them all. So you have to weigh up whether you want to attract another cat or whether you would rather complete one of your main tasks. The other players can also spoil your plans by taking the exact item from the display that you could have used much better yourself.

Calico is a quiet brain teaser and puzzle game for the whole family where you can almost physically feel the warmth and security of a cozy blanket.
