In Viva Topo! the mice dance on the table and celebrate a huge cheese festival. But watch out! The cat isn’t even out of the house yet.

OH MY GOD! You can already see the whiskers and hear a telltale meow. Now it’s time to get nimble and save as many pieces of cheese as you can before too many of your own mice fall victim to the cat’s ravenous appetite.

This is a tactical dice game for children and the whole family. You roll a special cat die, the values 1 and 6 of which have been replaced by a cat’s head. If you roll this symbol, you can move one of your mice again and the cat also moves forward a prescribed number of spaces. For all other dice values, the player whose turn it is can use one of their mice by this value on the circular game board to either move further forward or to escape to one of the corner bays and thus at least clear away a little cheese. The player whose mouse makes it to the goal, the mouse paradise, receives a complete cheese wheel, which is worth 6 points at the end. All other pieces of cheese give fewer victory points according to their size.

The winner of this chase is the person who has captured the most pieces of cheese at the end, even if he or she may have to give up one of his or her playing pieces to do so.

A feel for the cat’s running speed and a tactical way of prioritizing your own mice are the keys to victory. But knowing when to take the bird in the hand rather than the sudden end in the cat’s stomach can also secure you a point or two.
